Floada Answer docs
What it is
Floada Answer gives your AI assistant a phone line for approved calls and text messages. It can place calls, answer your line, send texts, keep transcripts, and report results back to you and your connected assistant.
Connect an AI assistant
- In ChatGPT or Claude, add the MCP server URL
https://answer.floada.ca/mcp. - Sign in with your Floada Answer account when the OAuth page opens.
- Choose the line you want to connect and approve access.
There are no keys to paste when connecting ChatGPT or Claude through OAuth.
Available tools
Your assistant sees these tools directly from Floada Answer:
- Place an outbound call
place_callPlace an allowlisted call on behalf of the principal. Phrase reasons/openers as "calling on behalf of <owner>" — never "calling for <owner>", which sounds like asking to speak with them. reason is REQUIRED and spoken aloud (max 1000 characters); objective is the mission (max 4000 characters), defaults to reason, and enables findings plus callback context. Optional task fields: goal, deliver, collect, limits, return, thread_id. Put the actual content to deliver in deliver. Anything you need answered or confirmed (price, ready time, a yes/no) belongs in collect — fields listed there are reliably asked before the call ends and come back in collected; instructions buried in prose are best-effort only. Surface not_on_allowlist, quiet_hours, and *_cap denials to the principal and never retry them. The phone agent knows only what you put in this call: include what to say or deliver (the actual content, e.g. the summary itself), what to find out, and how to report back. Keep goal to one short sentence; put names, numbers, preferences and other specifics in deliver — the agent shares them naturally as the conversation asks for them.
- Get an outbound call result
get_call_resultRead status, outcome, duration, answering-machine verdict, and findings. Poll about every 15 seconds only while status is in_progress, then stop. Call notes may contain TASK or RESULT lines with a RETURN instruction: act on them and reply through that channel (RETURN call back means place_call, even if your owner is chatting with you).
- List recent phone calls
list_recent_callsSee this line's recent phone activity: who called or was called, when, the outcome, and any message taken. Use it to report missed calls and messages to your owner. Call notes may contain TASK or RESULT lines with a RETURN instruction: act on them and reply through that channel (RETURN call back means place_call, even if your owner is chatting with you).
- Send a text message
send_smsSend a text to an allowlisted number on behalf of the principal. Surface denials and caps; never retry automatically. If a reply is expected, watch the inbox about every 30 seconds for up to 10 minutes.
- Check the inbound SMS inbox
check_sms_inboxReturn inbound messages oldest-first. Pass the latest processed created_at as after on the next poll. Use a 30–60 second heartbeat, or about 30 seconds for at most 10 minutes after a message that expects a reply.
- Set callback context
set_callback_noteSet private context for an allowlisted person who may call back (maximum 12000 characters). Notes normally expire after 72 hours. An agent-written note takes precedence over automatic parking of an unmet outbound objective. Use it when you are waiting for someone to call back: say what to collect from them and how your owner wants the result returned.
- Get callback context
get_callback_noteRead active callback context for an allowlisted person. Unmet outbound objectives may be auto-parked here and normally expire after 72 hours.
- Clear callback context
clear_callback_noteClear callback context after the pending matter is resolved. This also clears auto-parked objective context for that allowlisted person.
- Update the phone briefing
update_phone_briefingReplace standing context the phone persona may share with trusted callers (maximum 12000 characters). Pass an empty briefing to clear it; keep it current and suitable for disclosure.
- Get the phone briefing
get_phone_briefingRead the current standing context available to the phone persona for trusted callers.
- Get the agent persona
get_identityRead the effective personal-agent persona managed in Floada Answer.
- Persona management status
set_identityPersona changes are not supported here; the persona is managed in Floada Answer.
- List durable memories
get_memoriesList durable owner-provided facts. These are separate from the current phone briefing.
- Remember a durable fact
add_memoryStore one durable owner-provided fact (maximum 12000 characters). Use the phone briefing instead for temporary or time-bound status.
- Forget a durable fact
remove_memoryRemove a memory by its id, or by a case-insensitive text gist when it identifies exactly one note.
- List approved destinations
list_allowlistList this tenant’s active call and SMS destinations. This tool is read-only; an administrator manages the allowlist.
Account limits
- Calls and texts can go only to contacts approved by the account holder.
- Quiet hours and account usage caps still apply.
- A refused request is not retried automatically.
Data handling
Floada Answer keeps written call transcripts and text history for the account. Call audio is processed live but is not recorded. See the Privacy Policy for retention, access, and deletion details.
Troubleshooting
Call results appear in your connected AI assistant and in the Floada Answer portal. If a result is missing, note the call reference (T-…) and the approximate call time, then contact support.
